Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. He/she functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: HS diploma, Graduate of approved surgical tech school, unless LPN with a minimum of 2 years surgical experience

Experience:

Preferred: Prefer experience in OR or SPD but not required

License:

LPN if not a Graduate of approved Surgical Tech School

Certifications:

American Heart Association BLS.
