You'll prepare the surgical suite, support the team during procedures, and ensure every patient receives compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include:Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience What qualifications you will need:ExperienceMinimum one year of Surgical Technician work experience in acute care setting- requiredLabor and Delivery Surg Technician work experience- requiredEducationHigh school graduate or GED equivalentGraduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technology OR completed appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard of the U.S or in the US Public Health ServiceIf not meeting the aforementioned requirements: was employed to practice Surgical Technology in a health care facility before 9/1/09 Licenses and CertificationsSurgical Technologists that graduate after September 1, 2009 must hold and maintain a current certification as a Surgical Technologist within180 days from the date of graduation.
