Certified Surgical Technologist – Orthopedic OR

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room (OR) team in York, Maine. This is a 13-week contract offering 36 guaranteed hours per week, with day shifts and a required call rotation.

Ortho/Orthopedic experience is required.

Position Details

• Location: York, Maine

• Specialty: Surgical Technologist – OR

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• Schedule: Four 9-hour day shifts

• Shift Hours: Between 6:45 AM and 4:15 PM

• Call: Required

• Callback Requirement: Travelers must be able to return to the facility within 45 minutes if called back.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years required

• License: Active state license required

• Certification: BLS/BCLS required

• Ortho Experience: Required

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and sterile field for procedures.

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.

• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.

• Ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available during surgery.

• Participate in scheduled shifts and the required call rotation.
