Responsibilities:
- Assists with patient transfer/transportation.
- Inventories, orders, and restocks supplies.
- Assists in maintenance, care, and cleanliness of surgical supplies, equipment, and surgical suite.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of patient and unit supplies and stores these appropriately.
- Exchanges information about patient care issues or unit operations with Registered Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Nurse Manager, and ancillary departments.
- Assists in executing efficient turnover time between procedures.
- Charges for supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrates responsibility for cost containment and conservation of supplies and equipment.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, either 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts.
- 6:30AM-3PM, 6:30AM-5PM, or 8:30AM-7PM.
- Must also be available for off shifts/on-call shifts.
- Must be able to work weekends or holidays as needed.
- May be subject to work different days/shifts based on hospital needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous Operating Room Technician experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Completion of Operating Room Technician course.
- BLS certification or achievement within thirty (30) days of employment required.
- Certified Surgical Technologists (CST)
