Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) – Remote

Location: Fully Remote

Contract: 16 weeks
Dates: September 28, 2026 – January 16, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Candidate Type: Local & Travel Accepted

Mandatory Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• CTR certification required
• ODS credential and/or CTR credential from NCRA
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cancer registry or a similar field
• Experience with computer database systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• CTR/ODS certification verification and issue date required

Remote Work Requirements

• Fully remote
• Candidate must provide their own:
• PC
• Dual-monitor setup
• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• 40 hours/week
• Flexible work window: 4:30 AM–11:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities & Experience

• Handle complex cancer registry cases.
• Experience with BMT treatments.
• Perform multiple-facility abstracts.
• Handle rare and complex primary sites.
• Complete user-defined fields accurately.
• Maintain high-quality cancer registry data.
• Participate in quality review and meet the required 90% minimum accuracy, with a 95% mean accuracy expectation.
• Candidates may be required to complete an assessment to determine suitability for the network.
