About the Role:
Burr Ridge Veterinary in Darien, IL is looking for a passionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join their dedicated team! Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue
• Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively
• Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
• Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding care, medications, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate patient medical records using veterinary practice management software
• Ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment

Requirements:

• Active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in the state of Illinois
• Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
• Strong knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and patient safety
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-energy, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus
