Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and guidance to veterinary support staff
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
• Conduct coaching conversations, performance evaluations, and employee development planning
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged hospital culture
• Assist with scheduling, payroll processing, and staffing management
• Support hospital operational goals and key performance benchmarks
• Partner with doctors and regional leadership to drive hospital success
• Promote effective communication and collaboration throughout the team
• Address employee concerns professionally and constructively

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care and patient advocacy
• Assist veterinarians with specialty ophthalmology procedures and treatments
• Monitor and manage anesthesia cases with confidence and accuracy
• Obtain and interpret patient vital signs during procedures, including:
• Blood Pressure
• ECG
• SpO2
• ETCO2
• Recognize changes in patient status and communicate concerns proactively
• Perform diagnostic and treatment procedures with a high level of technical proficiency
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Ensure a safe, compassionate, and low-stress experience for patients and clients

Qualifications

• Required
• Current CVT credential in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience
• Strong technical skills, including anesthesia and patient monitoring
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor, support, and provide guidance to team members
• Interest in growing within a veterinary leadership role

Leadership experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to experienced CVTs who have demonstrated leadership skills and are ready to take the next step in their career.

Preferred

• Previous lead, supervisory, or management experience
• Specialty or ophthalmology experience

No ophthalmology experience? That''s okay! We can provide training in veterinary ophthalmology for an experienced CVT who is the right fit for our team.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, credentials, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
