Certified Veterinary Technician

PetsVet Animal Hospital, a multi-doctor small animal and exotics practice, is searching for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for Certified Veterinary Technician with current experience, excellent critical thinking skills, a passion for veterinary medicine, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays.

Background and Experience:

• Skilled Certified Veterinary Technicianwith more than 3 years of hands-on experience
• Long-term commitment to the veterinary field
• Passionate about building a strong bond with clientele and our team
• Team player who is productive, dependable, focused, and detail-oriented
• Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training
• Knowledge of Cornerstone is a plus, but not required
• Experience working with exotics is a plus, but not required

• Compensation: $24-$26/hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus Package: $2,000
• CE Allowance: $500 for first year & $1000 every year following

• Anesthetic induction
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Dental prophy
• Digital radiology
• Patient handling and restraint
• Blood draws
• IV catheter placement
• Suture wounds and incisions
• Pharmacy duties
• Lab work
• Drug calculations
• Outpatient procedures
• Microscopic evaluation
• Administer vaccines, injections, and medications
• Client communication and education
• Assist with training and developing team members
