SUMMARY
The Certified Welder II is a highly skilled welder capable of performing multi-process welding in all positions while maintaining AWS and AISC quality standards. This position supports complex fabrication projects and mentors less experienced welders.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW
- Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1. D1.5 standards. (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)
- Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
- Assist with weld troubleshooting and defect reduction.
- Ability to successfully carbon arc gouge
- Train and mentor Production Welders.
- Maintain welding certifications and qualification records.
- Support quality inspections and corrective actions.
Successful candidates will have:
- AWS D1.1 Certified Welder.
- Completion of AISC Welding Training (WD-01 through WD-10).
- Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes.
- Ability to pass internal weld qualification testing.
