BlackRock Resources is seeking a Certified Welder with structural welding and barge repair experience for a long-term contract opportunity in Westwego, LA.

Requirements:

• TWIC Card required
• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (or equivalent U.S. Coast Guard-approved certification)
• Experience with Stick (SMAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding
• Ability to weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Experience with structural welding, fabrication, and barge repair
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities:

• Perform certified structural welding on barges and related repairs
• Complete air pressure testing and repair leaks as needed
• Maintain welding equipment and leads
• Assist fitters and work independently with minimal supervision
• Follow all safety and quality standards

Work Environment:

• Drydock/barge repair facility
• Confined spaces, underneath barges, and outdoor work
• Physically demanding role requiring lifting, climbing, kneeling, and standing throughout the shift
