An established regional CPA and advisory firm is seeking an experienced CFO Advisory Services Manager / Senior Manager to join its growing Cleveland-area practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CFO, Controller, fractional CFO, or senior finance professional who enjoys working with multiple businesses and helping leadership teams solve complex financial and operational challenges.

The position will lead client engagements across a variety of industries, providing fractional CFO support, financial strategy, forecasting, business improvement, and transaction-related advisory services. The ideal candidate combines strong financial leadership with a consultative, client-facing approach and enjoys developing long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fractional CFO and financial advisory engagements
• Partner directly with business owners, executives, and leadership teams
• Develop budgets, forecasts, cash-flow models, and other financial planning tools
• Build financial models to support strategic business decisions
• Analyze financial performance, KPIs, profitability, and operational trends
• Improve financial reporting, month-end processes, and management reporting
• Evaluate and improve clients' use of accounting and ERP systems
• Perform cost and profitability analyses by customer, product, or service line
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, refinancing, and restructuring initiatives
• Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes and business performance
• Manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously
• Develop new and existing client relationships
• Partner with internal teams and external referral networks to help grow the CFO Advisory practice
• Provide leadership and guidance to other professionals within the team

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in financial leadership, accounting, or advisory services
• Prior experience as a CFO, Controller, fractional CFO, finance leader, or financial consultant strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• CPA preferred
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash-flow management, and financial reporting
• Experience advising business owners and executive leadership
• Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and internal operations
• Transaction, due diligence, refinancing, or restructuring experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong relationship-building and consultative skills
• Ability to identify business challenges and translate financial information into actionable recommendations
• Business development or client relationship growth experience preferred
