We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Permanent CFO/Interim CFO with a strong background in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing the financial operations of a law firm, including finance, ADP, payroll, reconciliation, and account migration. This position requires a professional who can establish financial policies, maintain the fiscal health of our firm, and drive financial strategy. The CFO will play a critical role in the overall financial management of the firm and will be instrumental in driving financial and strategic decisions. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
- Manage all aspects of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Lead the migration of accounts and financial systems, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to the business.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/Board and members of the executive management team.
- Manage and monitor all banking activities and ensure effective cash flow management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
- Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, and introduction of new programs/strategies.
- Drive the firm's financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Ensure credibility of finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, in a law firm setting
- Proven experience with finance, ADP, payroll, reconciliation, and account migration and attorney trust accounts
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
- Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
