CGP: Fixed Assets Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $38.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

• Manage fixed asset activity, including additions, retirements, transfers, depreciation, and related account reviews.
• Maintain detailed fixed asset schedules and ensure all records agree with the general ledger.
• Work with leadership to research and resolve questions related to capitalized costs and asset classifications.
• Support tracking of software assets and help monitor asset lifecycle activity.
• Assist with month end work by preparing entries and completing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ability to collaborate with procurement and operations to confirm asset details and ensure accurate reporting.
• Skill in preparing schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Capacity to support process improvements and help refine capitalization and asset tracking routines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to support various ad hoc requests and reporting needs as assigned.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with fixed asset exposure.
• A solid understanding of general ledger activity and experience completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Previous experience in operational settings such as retail, restaurant, manufacturing, or multi location environments.
• Strong ability in Excel and the willingness to learn new systems quickly, with CPA progress.
