Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $31.00 to $47.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and process semi-monthly payroll while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Audit payroll functions, regularly verifying employee data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to the Finance team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update employee records within HRIS and physical files for proper documentation.
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave programs.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Have 5-7+ years of experience in payroll processing, including job costing.
  • Possess 3-5+ years of experience in human resources administration.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Federal and California Wage and Hour laws for payroll compliance.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Display excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Maintain outstanding written and verbal communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Uphold a high degree of integrity and the ability to manage confidential employee information.
  • Show strong interpersonal and customer service skills when addressing payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Apply independent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to improve payroll processes.
