Applicants based in Utqiagvik will receive an hourly rate of $46.32.ResponsibilitiesThis position provides direct administrative and case management support to a judge while ensuring the efficient operation of the court. Responsibilities include preparing, organizing, and distributing judicial correspondence, orders, judgments, and other court documents; managing the judge's calendar, meetings, travel, and appointments; and serving as the primary point of contact for telephone calls and visitors with professionalism and discretion. The position also prepares and tracks required judicial reports, including pay affidavits, leave reports, and pending decision listings.In addition, this role serves as the case management clerk for all children's and probate cases, opening new cases, scheduling hearings, processing pleadings and court orders, monitoring case files for accuracy and timeliness, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The incumbent also assists with training law clerks on case management systems and motion tracking, provides technical support to judicial officers, and supports the Clerk of Court as assigned.Work HoursFull-time court employees are scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.Compensation and ClassificationThis position is in the partially-exempt service; the incumbent serves at-will. The position is classified at Range 13 so long as the judge remains a Presiding Judge. If another judge is selected, the position reverts to Range 12 ($28.97 hourly in Anchorage or $43.46 hourly in Utqiagvik).
