Position Summary
We are seeking a Chamfer Operator to set up and operate manual chamfering equipment in a light industrial environment. This role focuses on meeting production targets while ensuring product quality through inspection and measurement processes.
This is a hands-on mechanical role, ideal for candidates with machine operation or mechanical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up manual chamfer machines to meet production requirements
- Perform setups and changeovers as needed
- Conduct product inspection and measurements using standard gauging tools
- Perform visual inspections using defect charts and quality standards
- Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and control plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and production records
- Update Daily Control Systems (DCS) / machine boards as required
- Follow CIL (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) and 5S practices
- Participate in team meetings, shift handoffs, and safety discussions
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality policies
- Support training initiatives and assist team members as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior machine operation experience REQUIRED
- Mechanical background or aptitude strongly preferred
- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, steel rule)
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures
- Basic computer skills (keyboard and mouse)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
