Job Description:

The Opportunity: This opportunity is supporting the organization as it establishes and implements the strategy around business platforms, including but not limited to the Field Service Management (FSM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), Procurement, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. The intent is to transition operating companies and branches onto platforms in a strategic manner that optimizes and expedites value capture as well as minimizes disruption to the business. This program will also encompass legal entity rationalization and shared services establishment discussions as necessary to facilitate the system and platform moves. The scope of the program includes both business transformation and technology across the company in several phases over the next 2-3 years.

Position Summary:

This change management and communications specialist will specifically provide support for the program, including being responsible for implementing and executing against the organizational change management (OCM) and communications strategy established by the OCM and Change Management lead and program business leader. This role guides program team members in effective OCM and communications to increase change adoption, employee engagement, and usage of systems and processes. They will design and implement OCM strategies, plans, and communications programs to support the program. The intent is to empower and equip business and program leaders to have direct communications and engagements with business leaders and other stakeholders. This role reports to the program business leader and has a dotted line accountability to the OCM Lead to ensure OCM and change communications efforts are aligned across workstreams and functional areas.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Critical Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business leaders, project team members, and other stakeholders to ensure change management efforts are managed effectively.
  • Develop and implement change management and communication strategies for the program, with potential focus on a specific workstream (e.g. operating model, FSM, ERP, procurement, HCM, timekeeping and payroll systems).
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders about the change management process and collaborate with project teams, cross-functional teams, and business partners to ensure that change initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Empower and equip the program team, business leaders, and other stakeholders throughout the change management and communication process, guiding and coaching them in developing standard operating procedures, best practices, and other tools to manage change throughout their initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to ensure effective change management practices are followed, and the implementation of change initiatives is carried out according to plan.
  • Maintain flexibility in shifting approaches and engagement strategies as required by program leaders to effectively communicate and align with business leaders.
  • In partnership with the project team, identify and manage potential barriers or risks that arise during the change management process and develop solutions to address them.
  • Guide the design and delivery of training programs and materials to support change.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies and communication programs, including tracking KPIs.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure that leaders at all levels are informed with necessary information.
  • Focus change communications on the people element of the program, including impacts on employees from business process, systems, or technology changes.
  • Support leadership communication efforts within program.

Skill Set Requirements:

  • BS/BA in change management, strategic communications, or relevant field
  • 2-3+ years Change Management and 2+ years Change Communications experience, understanding of change management and communication best practices
  • Change management certification preferred
  • Experience working in large, complex, and global organizations preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of internal communications tools, methods, and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations and take initiative
  • Able to communicate at all levels of an organization and articulate messages by audience
  • Strong character, ethics, commitment, and reliability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Office, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
