Chaplain - On-call
Under the supervision of the Director of Spiritual Care Services, the Chaplain provides spiritual care for patients, families, volunteers, and staff in the hospital; provides leadership for in-patient and community education and treatment programs; provides mentoring for clinical pastoral education trainees; and provides leadership for programs to support area clergy and faith communities so as to foster a relationship with the religious community.
Education - bachelors degree in religion, theology or other related field required. Master of Divinity or equivalent; preferred. 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent--4 preferred.
Experience - Pastoral care, pastoral counseling, parish leadership, clinical education experience.
Licensure/Certification - Ordination and/or letter of endorsement by faith required. It is preferred the candidate hold a clinical chaplain board certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains, College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or other professional chaplaincy organization.
