Chaplain Educator Fellow

Build a meaningful career within the Department of Pastoral Care at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens while contributing to the daily delivery of pastoral care services and pastoral education. In this role, you will support patients and families as they navigate difficult care decisions, visit hospital units, facilitate support groups, and offer steady guidance and compassion to individuals facing life-altering conditions.

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Chaplain to provide religious and spiritual care to patients, their loved ones, and staff. This role also serves as a resource to colleagues, offering education and consultation on religious needs, traditions, and observances across diverse faiths.

Join a dedicated team of staff members and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients from around the world. Work collaboratively with staff chaplains, part-time and per diem chaplains, contracted providers, and volunteer chaplains in delivering compassionate, patient-centered spiritual care.

PREFERRED CRITERIA

• Prior experience in professional spiritual ministry setting

REQUIRED CRITERIA

• Master’s or other advanced theological studies degree in closely related field as determined/approved by ACPE. Board Certification eligibility within one year of the start of the program
• Completion of a minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE.
• Acceptance into the Certified Educator Candidacy program by NYPH CPE faculty.
