Responsibilities:

Community Regional Medical Center offers a fully accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program designed to prepare spiritual care providers for professional practice in diverse medical settings. The Chaplain Fellow role provides immersive, supervised clinical training within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment under the guidance of an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education Certified Educator.

 

You’ll provide interfaith spiritual care to patients, families and staff through supervised clinical encounters using an action‑reflection learning model. You will participate in required educational activities, including spiritual care visits, seminars, case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings, while gaining confidence in your professional identity and presence. Through individual and group supervision aligned with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education standards, you will deepen your self awareness, strengthen your pastoral skills and grow as a compassionate and reflective spiritual care provider.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

· High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

· Bachelor's Degree from a CHEA accredited or approved college/university required

· Successful completion of a First-Year Residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required

· Sufficient theological education to actively participate in discussions about theological concepts and ideas required
