The Chaplain Resident participates in an accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) residency, providing supervised spiritual and emotional care to patients, families and team members of all faith traditions and those with no religious affiliation, while developing professional chaplain competencies. The Chaplain Resident supports whole-person healing for those confronting serious illness, making difficult treatment decisions, feeling isolated or alone, or experiencing conflict, grief, despair or feelings of hopelessness through compassionate presence and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to provide exceptional experiences. This position is contingent upon the student’s satisfactory progress in meeting the goals of the CPE curriculum.

Education: Bachelor's Degree. Master’s Degree, and 1 successfully completed unit of CPE required. Master’s Degree preferred in areas of theological study
Experience: Experience in clinical chaplaincy, congregational ministry, or other directly applicable work preferred.
