Qualifications
Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Religious Studies, Pastoral Counseling, or a related field of ministry from a school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Required
Must have completed at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Required
Completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital setting. Preferred
Work Experience
No minimum experience required. Required
1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and Women's Services. Preferred
Endorsement or appropriate recognition of ministry by the governing body of the Chaplain's denomination/faith group Preferred
3 years of successful post graduate pastoral care, preferably as a chaplain in a healthcare setting Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Licensed or ordained chaplain, and in good standing with their faith tradition. Required
Membership (or eligibility for membership in) the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. Preferred
APC Board Certification. Preferred
