Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a boutique Irvine-based law firm to recruit an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal with debtor-side Chapter 11 experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bankruptcy professional seeking substantive involvement in sophisticated business restructuring and insolvency matters within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

The firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support attorneys in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of bankruptcy experience, including substantial experience representing debtors in Chapter 11 cases.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients on complex business reorganizations and restructuring matters. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of bankruptcy paralegal experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting debtor-side Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local bankruptcy court rules.
  • Experience preparing, filing, and managing Chapter 11 case documents.
  • Proficiency with CM/ECF electronic filing systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.

Preferred

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or accredited program.
  • Experience with business reorganizations, insolvency proceedings, and creditors' rights matters.
  • Familiarity with legal case management and document management software.
  • Experience supporting contested matters, evidentiary hearings, and confirmation proceedings.
