Job Title: Charcuterie Specialist
Department: Deli

General Function:
As a Charcuterie Specialist, this position will be responsible for ordering, replenishing, and merchandising charcuterie prepared foods products. You will work to maintain attractive displays and supporting the store vision. Additionally you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
Assists customers by:
escorting them to the products they're looking for
securing products that are out of reach
loading or unloading heavy items
making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests
performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience
Answers the telephone and emails promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
Takes customer orders, with consistency and accuracy.
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.
Order all charcuterie products, maintaining adequate back stock levels.
Process invoices and returns.
Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking product.
Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Education and Experience:
Minimum one year Specialty experience; Comprehensive knowledge of charcuterie products and a desire to grow with the Specialty department

Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are mostly performed in a retail store setting. Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.) There are possible hazards from moving equipment and possible electrical shock. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day. This is a fast paced work environment.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Pallet jack, box cutter, cash registers, trash compactor, fork lift, calculator, telephone, intercom, cardboard compactor, copier, fax (within wage and hour guidelines).
