Job Title: Charge Capture Associate – Outpatient (Contract – 13 Weeks)
Location: San Luis Obispo, California 93405
Pay Rate: $617 – $708
Schedule: Evening Shift, Monday–Friday (5 x 8-hour shifts)
4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Occasional weekend coverage may be required
Enters outpatient charges accurately into billing systems
Reviews, analyzes, and supports charge capture and charge master processes
Collaborates with departments to ensure complete and billable charge documentation
Balances charge summaries against encounter forms and resolves discrepancies
Reviews system edits, reports, and errors to support corrections and updates
Supports revenue cycle accuracy, billing efficiency, and collection processes
Participates in audits and process improvement initiatives
Communicates charge entry issues to supervisor and relevant departments
Performs additional revenue cycle-related duties as assigned
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Strong data entry skills required
Charge entry or healthcare billing experience preferred
Familiarity with revenue cycle processes preferred
Compliance with required vaccinations (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
