Responsibilities:As a Charge Nurse at Community Health System, you oversee daily clinical operations and support your care team to ensure safe, high quality patient care. You serve as the main liaison for your assigned area, working with physicians, staff, patients and families. You’ll coordinate patient flow, guide staff assignments and take responsibility for patient safety, quality and regulatory activities across the unit. You lead with purpose, grow your leadership skills and make a visible impact every shift, supported by a team that values your voice, your judgment and your commitment to excellent care.
Qualifications:Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
• 2 years of experience as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum of 35 points on the RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
• 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
Licenses and Certifications
• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Certifications as required for the unit
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.

Established from the roots of Inland Empire Community Health Center in Bloomington, CHSI has grown with community health centers in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. These centers have been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).
As such, services are offered to the neediest in each community - the un-insured and under-insured, the working poor, those with limited ability to pay, the homeless, and the indigent. Services are provided at discounted (sliding fee scale) rates for those who qualify based on gross annual income and family size.
