Job Summary

We are seeking a Charge Nurse to join our team at the UCHLth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care, utilizing the nursing process, and prioritizing wellness from a patient perspective. You will also be part of a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered Professional Nursing program
  • Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered Professional Nursing program within three years of assuming the Charge RN position
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
  • Relevant certification as determined at position level
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • NRP within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
  • Prioritize wellness from a patient perspective and evidence-based practice
  • Model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare
  • Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care
  • Direct care units include MotherBaby Labor and Delivery - Birth Center, Womens Care, and NICU
  • AWHONNs and AACNs practice standards and certifications including RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, and CCRN
