Position: Charge Nurse (PM Shift)
Whispering Pines, a skilled nursing facility located in Ripon, WI, is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (PM Shift)to join our team.
The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff during the evening shift and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care. This role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff during the PM shift
- Provide direct patient care and respond to resident needs
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes appropriately
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and facility policies
- Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centered environment
Qualifications:
- Current Wisconsin nursing license (RN or LPN required)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience is a plus
- Strong clinical and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus
