    Description

    The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization to hire a Full-Time Night Shift Charge RN for its Medical-Surgical unit.

    In this leadership role, you'll combine direct patient care with team leadership, guiding dedicated nursing staff while supporting exceptional patient outcomes and efficient unit operations.

    Working alongside a collaborative leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and make a meaningful impact every shift.

    Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift

    What You’ll Do

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and oversee daily unit operations during your shift
    • Assign and support nursing staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
    • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
    • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
    • Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow
    • Serve as a mentor, clinical resource, and leader for the nursing team
    • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives
    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care

    What We’re Looking For

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire; PALS preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or acute care nursing experience
    • Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience
