Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Winter Haven, FL

 

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical Oncology team. This full-time leadership opportunity offers the chance to provide exceptional patient care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in an oncology-focused acute care environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards

  • Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and support efficient unit operations

  • Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to guide patient care delivery

  • Serve as a professional role model, preceptor, and clinical resource for nursing team members

  • Promote safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered oncology care practices

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor the quality of care delivery

  • Support staff development, education, and professional growth initiatives

  • Facilitate communication and share organizational priorities and unit goals with team members

  • Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous improvement

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

  • Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting required

  • Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred

  • Oncology experience or nursing specialty certification preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
