Charge RN - Main Operating Room
A leading nonprofit healthcare system is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership within a busy Main Operating Room. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to lead a collaborative perioperative team while delivering exceptional patient-centered surgical care.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and coordination of Main OR operations.
Deliver direct nursing care to surgical patients using evidence-based practices.
Support patient flow, staffing coordination, and efficient operating room scheduling.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for nursing staff.
Promote compliance with regulatory standards, patient safety initiatives, and organizational policies.
Assist with problem-solving, workflow management, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Associate degree in Nursing or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of recent perioperative or operating room nursing experience.
Previous Charge RN or nursing leadership experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
