Position: Elementary Special Education Teacher and Interventionist (In-person and Virtual responsibilities) - 1.0 FTE
Duties: The Tomorrow River Community Charter Schools are seeking an energetic and skilled Special Education Teacher and Interventionist. This position will support a small caseload of special education students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade at our onsite school, as well as serve as an interventionist for students in our virtual school. The time will be split 50-50 between the two main job duties. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies and techniques related to students with learning differences. We seek a creative professional who will be collaborative with our skilled and caring team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Wisconsin DPI Licensure of 1801-Cross-Categorical or any combination of 1810-Intellectual Disabilities, 1830-Emotional Behavior Disorders, and 1811- Specific Learning Disabilities. Priority may be given to candidates currently holding or willing to acquire additional licenses;
Successful knowledge and understanding with conducting Individual Educational Programs (IEPs);
Ability to develop positive, constructive relations with students, staff and community;
Must have effective communication skills - oral, written, and technological, time management and organizational;
Willingness to learn and implement Effective Crisis Prevention & Intervention strategies;
Experience/training/certification in Waldorf education desired; but not required;
Such alternatives to the above that the district may find acceptable; and
Acceptable background check.
Contract Amount: 1.0 FTE/ School Year Calendar as adopted by the TRCCS Governance Board/Salary depending on experience. Begin on or near August 18, 2026.
