Job Summary/Basic Function:
This part-time position supports both the Charter Schools Office and the Arts Center. The role is split evenly between administrative and program support for the Charter Schools Office (including summer camp coordination) and operational support within the Arts Center Art Gallery. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Charter Schools Office (15 hours/week)
-Provide general administrative support, including data entry, scheduling, and document preparation
-Assist with communication efforts (emails, event coordination, and outreach to schools)
-Support planning and coordination of summer camps, including logistics and materials preparation
-Serve as an on-site guide and liaison during summer camps, helping welcome groups, direct them across campus, and ensure a smooth experience for students, staff, and partners
-Act as a point of contact between visiting schools, camp leaders, and university staff to address questions and support needs in real time
-Help maintain records, databases, and office organization
-Assist with special projects and events as needed
Arts Center / Art Gallery (15 hours/week)
-Assist with daily operations of the Art Gallery
-Support installation and deinstallation of exhibits
-Greet visitors and provide general information about exhibits and events
-Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming gallery space
-Assist with event setup and coordination within the Arts Center
-Support marketing efforts such as updating displays or promotional materials

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to take initiative and problem-solve in real-time situations
-Comfortable interacting with students, educators, and campus partners
-Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands:
-Ability to lift and move materials (up to 35 lbs) for event and gallery setup
-Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during camps or gallery hours
Work Hours:
Mon-Fri, evenings and some weekends depending on performances in the Arts Center; will work around student schedule
