    Description

    Overview Chassis Design Engineer – Passenger Vehicles. Location: Augusta, GA (Onsite). Client: Motherson. Contract Role (W2/C2C).Role Summary We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Chassis Design Engineer with 5 to 7 years of proven experience in the passenger vehicle segment, proficient in Creo. The role involves end-to-end design of chassis components with a focus on Concept design, 3D model & 2D manufacturing drawings with strong knowledge on manufacturability.Key Responsibilities Design and develop chassis subsystems, including front and rear suspension members (control arms, subframes, knuckles); engine cradles, torsion beams, and axle brackets; and mounting structures for steering, braking, and powertrain.Create 3D models and 2D drawings with Creo, ensuring GD&T and manufacturing readiness.Perform vehicle packaging studies for chassis integration.Ensure designs meet requirements in coordination with CAE and testing teams.Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to deliver designs that are manufacturable.Maintain design documentation and change control through PLM tools such as Windchill (optional, nice to have).Required Skills & Experience 5 to 7 years of chassis or structural design experience in passenger vehiclesExpert-level skills in Creo (preferably V6.0)Strong knowledge of sheet metal and welded structuresProficiency in GD&T, DFM/DFA, and design release processUnderstanding of automotive regulations (AIS, ECE, FMVSS) – preferableExperience with vehicle dynamics, chassis load cases, and test feedback implementationFamiliar with CAE correlation, tolerance stack-up, and failure root cause analysis#J-18808-Ljbffr
