Responsibilities:
- Chassis Dyno Operator, Learn and perform daily climatic test cell operation and data acquisition tasks.
- Become proficient with test cell operations to the point of being able to accurately describe issues that may arise; including some light troubleshooting.
- Take ownership of the test facility including light cleaning and light equipment maintenance.
- Work with Engineers to complete detailed test plans on schedule with a willingness to stay over as needed to complete the testing.
- Assist in performing vehicle part changes/modifications during testing as needed.
- This position offers varying tasks for the self-starter and requires paying attention to details.
- Chassis Dyno Prep. Assist with installation of thermocouples on a wide variety of automobile components, installing harnesses, data acquisition and vehicle mock up using prototype parts.
- A quality mind set is important in completing these tasks correctly the first time.
- Electronics, Capability of designing, constructing, and repairing wire harnesses for testing.
- Maintaining test equipment as needed as components will occasionally break.
- Have the confidence/ability to troubleshoot testing equipment and systems using the proper tools.
- Assist with other tests/activities as needed.
Requirements: - Ability to work overtime.
- Strong communication skills.
- A strong understanding of automobiles.
- Experience with data acquisition hardware and software.
- Capable of working in extreme climates, hot or cold.
- Strong vehicle/instrumentation skills
- Light welding/fabrication skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Detail orientated.
- Strong work ethic.
Preferred: - Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Two-year degree in automotive background or related experience.
