    Description

    Check-In Nurse
     
    As the True Friends Check-In Nurse, you'll play a key role in ensuring participant health and safety. You'll gather essential medical information, train and prepare the care team to support a variety of medical needs, and remain on call to provide guidance and assistance throughout the session.
     
    Schedule: Part time, Friday evening onsite 2-4 hours, on call through Sunday morning
     
    Pay: $25 per hour (4 hour minimum)
     
    Location: In person, Camp Friendship Annandale, MN

    How You'll Contribute:
    • Support the participant health care intake process by gathering necessary information and ensuring accurate documentation
    • Verify that medications on the MAR match the physician or pharmacy medication list
    • Communicate with participants’ families, staff, or other care providers regarding health needs
    • Review health care protocols and physicians' standing orders
    • Delegate responsibilities and monitor completion
    • Provide training and guidance to staff on medical procedures and the proper use of medical equipment
    • Support medication distribution and ensure proper documentation
    • Collect and document participant vital signs as required
    • Perform medical services within licensure, including administering injections, prescribed medications, enemas, wound care, and other basic medical tasks
    • Provide on-call assistance and support through out the session
    What You'll Bring to the Table:
    • Must be able to pass an organizational background study
    • RN or LPN licensure in the state of MN 
    • Ability to respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and support participants in accordance with training and safety protocols
    • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
