Description

Check-In Nurse

As the True Friends Check-In Nurse, you'll play a key role in ensuring participant health and safety. You'll gather essential medical information, train and prepare the care team to support a variety of medical needs, and remain on call to provide guidance and assistance throughout the session.

Schedule: Part time, Friday evening onsite 2-4 hours, on call through Sunday morning

Pay: $25 per hour (4 hour minimum)

Location: In person, Camp Friendship Annandale, MN

How You'll Contribute:

Support the participant health care intake process by gathering necessary information and ensuring accurate documentation
Verify that medications on the MAR match the physician or pharmacy medication list
Communicate with participants’ families, staff, or other care providers regarding health needs
Review health care protocols and physicians' standing orders
Delegate responsibilities and monitor completion
Provide training and guidance to staff on medical procedures and the proper use of medical equipment
Support medication distribution and ensure proper documentation
Collect and document participant vital signs as required
Perform medical services within licensure, including administering injections, prescribed medications, enemas, wound care, and other basic medical tasks
Provide on-call assistance and support through out the session

What You'll Bring to the Table:

Must be able to pass an organizational background study
RN or LPN licensure in the state of MN
Ability to respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and support participants in accordance with training and safety protocols
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
