Job Title: Checker II

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM to finish; overtime as needed

Contract Duration: Approximately 17-18 weeks (712 total hours)

Travel: None required

Job Summary
A leading company in the food distribution industry is seeking a Checker II to join its Jacksonville, FL facility. This role is responsible for verifying order accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring products are properly selected, documented, and approved prior to shipment while upholding quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify orders using warehouse management system (WMS) pull sheets
- Ensure all selected products accurately match order requirements
- Tag outgoing pallets to indicate readiness for loading
- Transfer product dates and information to warehouse pull sheets
- Obtain Market Manager approval for short-dated products and notify the warehouse supervisor accordingly
- Maintain cleanliness and assist with general warehouse housekeeping duties
- Adhere to all established safety and quality procedures

Required Qualifications
- Experience with order verification in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 10 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout shift
- Ability to tolerate working in cold environments (approximately 35 F)

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in food distribution or similar logistics environment
- Familiarity with pallet tagging and loading procedures
- Experience working in refrigerated/cold storage warehouse settings
