Glen Hills Middle School is looking for a cheerleading coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The season runs from October - March and meets 3-4 times per week from 4-5:30. Experience: Demonstrated experience as a cheerleading coach or in a similar coaching role. Prior experience with competitive cheerleading is preferred. Tumbling Skills: Proficiency in teaching various tumbling skills, from basic to advanced levels. Ability to develop and improve athletes'' tumbling techniques. Stunting Skills: Expertise in cheerleading stunts, including bases, flyers, and spotters. Experience in training and ensuring safe execution of stunts is essential. Safety: In-depth knowledge of cheerleading safety protocols and risk management. Ability to enforce safety guidelines and conduct regular safety checks. Choreography: Proven ability to choreograph engaging and dynamic cheerleading routines and cheers. Experience in creating routines that incorporate tumbling, stunts, and dance elements Skills: Strong leadership and communication abilities. Capable of motivating and guiding cheerleaders while fostering a supportive team environment. Organizational Abilities: Skilled in planning and conducting practice sessions, organizing performances, and managing cheerleading equipment and uniforms. Commitment: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for practices, games, and events.
