Position: Cheerleading Head Coach

In this dynamic role, you will lead and grow a competitive cheer program while supporting the academic and personal success of student-athletes. You'll oversee all aspects of the program-from recruiting and training to scheduling, budgeting, and fundraising-while fostering a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with NCAA Division III values.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor student-athletes; plan and conduct practices and training sessions
  • Recruit and retain student-athletes committed to both athletic and academic success
  • Monitor and support student-athlete eligibility in collaboration with campus partners
  • Develop and manage program budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling logistics
  • Execute recruitment and retention strategies; track and report program outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies
  • Promote team visibility through collaboration with athletics communications and campus events
  • Foster a culture of sportsmanship, safety, and accountability

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant coaching experience preferred
  • Experience in NCAA Division III athletics (as coach or student-athlete) preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student-athlete development
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel
