This position earns a competitive wage of $17.00 - $24.00 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEESE BUYER
As a Cheese Buyer, you will be responsible for the ordering and preparation of packaging, cutting, wrapping, labeling and stocking cheese. Ensure product is ordered, stocked, rotated, fronted and faced according to established procedures. Pull low quality or out of date items, recording and properly disposing of them following established procedures. Maintain back stock areas and kitchen in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department standards, and assist with receiving product for deli and cheese department. The Cheese Buyer is responsible for securing high-quality products to help the department meet goals for sales, margin, and labor. You will also be responsible for setting deals and sales of all cheese products.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 1 year of experience in kitchens, including purchasing and merchandising fresh food
· Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching
· Experience working in commercial kitchens and have knife skills

Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 am to 5:30 pm. (40 hours a week)
