We're looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Cheese Clerk to join our Cheese Department! If you're passionate about great food and love creating memorable customer experiences, this is an exciting opportunity to grow with a company that celebrates quality, hospitality, and community.

In this role, you'll work hands-on with an incredible assortment of artisan and specialty cheeses-slicing, packaging, merchandising, and helping customers discover new favorites. From recommending pairings to sharing product knowledge, you'll play an important part in creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience. You'll also help maintain beautiful, fully stocked displays while ensuring the department stays fresh, clean, and aligned with our high food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic service
• Assist customers with cheese selections, recommendations, and pairing ideas for entertaining, cooking, and everyday enjoyment
• Slice, package, label, and merchandise cheeses and related specialty items according to company standards
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays that highlight product freshness and quality
• Follow all company policies, food safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures
• Keep the department clean, organized, and operating efficiently throughout the day
• Support team members and assist with additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail food or specialty food environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Passion for cheese, specialty foods, and learning about products within the department
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail setting
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
