Cheesemaker Operator
Job Location: Sonoma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $19.50-$20/hour
Schedule: Monday - Sunday; 5 to 6 days/week, 5am-1:30pm (days may vary)
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Cheesemaker Operator? We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cheesemaker Operator to support daily cheese production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for producing quality products while following food safety, quality, and operational standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on production work, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining quality and food safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce cheese quantities according to daily production schedules
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds company standards
- Report product or quality concerns to management promptly
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
- Perform basic math calculations to verify product counts
- Work efficiently to minimize product loss and waste
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production goals
- Support and uphold all food safety and sanitation requirements
- Follow all health, safety, security, and emergency procedures
- Identify and communicate safety hazards to supervisors
- Respond calmly and effectively to equipment or production issues
- Work professionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed

Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a food production or processing environment preferred
- Ability to communicate verbally in both English and Spanish with team members and supervisors
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements
- Ability to work in varying room temperatures
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and noise
- Ability to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 pounds unassisted
