We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our team. This creative team will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities in our Independent Living for Senior Citizen facility, ensuring high-quality dishes are served on time. The facility is looking for an individual who can prepare up to 45- 3 course meals per day. 35-40 hours per week.
In this position, you can make your own hours. Meals are served 363 days a year. Monday through Friday at 5:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 pm. Meals are not served on Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas. If you are passionate about food and have a flair for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, we would love to hear from you.
*Responsibilities*
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
-Shop for all food needed (Either food delivery or store shopping)
- Create innovative menus and develop new recipes
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
*Qualifications*
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of food cost control and budget management
- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
