The Mary Schwartz Summit, a premier assisted living community and part of the Kline Galland family of services, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to support culinary operations and create memorable dining experiences for our residents alongside our Executive Chef and dedicated culinary team.

This is an opportunity for a culinary professional who believes that great food is about more than nutrition. It is about comfort, connection, celebration, and enhancing quality of life. Our residents enjoy restaurant-style dining, and we are looking for a chef who takes pride in preparing fresh, flavorful meals while fostering a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 36-40 hours per week

Flexible hours:

• 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, or
• 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

No late-night shifts

What You'll Do

• Assist in leading the daily preparation and service of high-quality meals for assisted living residents and guests.
• Help develop appealing menus that balance nutrition, variety, seasonal ingredients, and resident preferences.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Supervise, coach, and support culinary team members.
• Assist with food ordering, inventory, and cost controls.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and leadership to create an exceptional dining experience.
• Support special events, holiday celebrations, and community gatherings through creative culinary offerings.

What We're Looking For

• Professional culinary experience as a Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role.
• Passion for hospitality and serving older adults.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of or experience with Kosher food is a plus.
• Ability to create diverse menus that accommodate special diets and nutritional needs.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or country club settings is preferred.
