Position Overview:
Hotel ZaZa is seeking a dynamic Chef De Partie to help lead our culinary operations with creativity, precision, and passion. This role combines hands-on culinary expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in maintaining smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is organized, skilled in their station, and capable of mentoring junior staff while maintaining consistency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes
Ensure all food is cooked and plated according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in supervising and training the culinary team
Maintain cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Sous Chef
Assist in developing new menu items and improving existing recipes
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service
Uphold kitchen policies and procedures, including portion control and waste reduction
Step in to support other sections or leadership roles as needed
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Kitchen Supervisor in a professional kitchen
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
Passion for food quality, presentation, and innovation
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
