Mono Inn is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and contribute to a refined tasting menu experience at our destination restaurant overlooking Mono Lake in California's Eastern Sierra.

Led by Chef Jason Custer, Mono Inn offers a refined tasting menu guided by seasonality, thoughtful sourcing, and a connection to the landscapes of the American West. With over a century of fine dining history, the Inn continues to evolve while honoring its legacy as one of California's most distinctive dining destinations.

From the first point of contact to the final moments of service, each element is intentional, executed with precision, consistency, and care. Each front of house role requires contribution and shared responsibility to the entire team and to the guest experience as a whole; whether supporting the flow of service, stewarding guest interactions, maintaining the dining room environment, or contributing to the evolution of the food and beverage program.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you are responsible for the preparation, execution, and consistency of your station within the tasting menu. This position requires focus, organization, and a disciplined approach to technique and service.


Responsibilities

  • Execute all dishes from your station with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of your station at all times
  • Contribute to daily prep, service, and breakdown with efficiency and care
  • Work closely with the Chef and team on menu development and seasonal transitions
  • Support the broader kitchen and assist wherever needed to ensure a cohesive service
  • Uphold standards of quality, technique, and presentation across all aspects of the menu

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a fine dining or tasting menu environment preferred
  • Strong foundation in culinary technique and kitchen organization
  • Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and respect for team-based service
  • A genuine interest in hospitality as a long-term profession
