Chef/ Director needed for School Food Service

Chef/ Director needed for School food service program in the Delray Beach, FL area. Monday through Friday, part-time day shift, 6 hours daily.The ideal candidate will be fun and have an outgoing personality who will enjoy working around children, staff, and faculty. Will have strong attention to detail and is creative with both presentation and new menu ideas within the guidelines of the NSLP. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must obtain proper documentation to work in schools. Willing to work an occasional catering on a weeknight and weekend. Strong culinary experience is required.Prior food service management experience is ideal.Prepare all catering events for school. Some travel may be involved.Excellent time and people management skills neededOversee staffing needs.Report to Area Supervisor on a daily basis.Proficient in using various forms of technology, namely Google and Microsoft products and point of sale systems.ServSafe® Manager Certificate Ensure that all safety and food handling procedures are being followedUse of personal protection equipment (PPE) at all timesAble to lift 50lbs.This is a client facing role so candidate should be personable and comfortable with regular client interactions. Apply today!
