Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and organized Chef to prepare healthy, balanced meals for children ranging from infants to pre-kindergarten. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking with purpose and takes pride in creating meals that fuel young minds and bodies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks daily
- Follow Primrose-approved menus and nutritional guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and proper storage
- Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions with care and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all local and state health regulations
- Maintain documentation for food safety and inspections
- Support a positive, team-oriented school environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, school or childcare setting preferred
- Food Handler s Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Passion for working in a child-focused environment
