We are looking for a Private Chef in Newport Coast. The client is looking for someone flexible to come 3-4 days/week.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare a variety of meals and snacks on demand, often with short notice.
- Cook in a fast-paced, order-style format while maintaining food quality and presentation.
- Coordinate meal prep so that all items are ready and served at the same time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen space.
- Communicate with family members and staff to ensure preferences and dietary needs are met.
- Occasionally source ingredients or handle grocery pickups (reliable transportation required).
- Adapt quickly to changing schedules or requests throughout the day.
Ideal Qualities:
- Prior experience as a chef or short order/line cook, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Able to cook quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Comfortable with informal settings and flexible meal preferences.
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
- Professional, respectful, and responsive to feedback.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Expertise in Indian, Chinese, and other ethnic cuisines.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and preferences.
