Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute high-quality menu items following established recipes and standards
- Develop creative daily, seasonal, and holiday specials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and health standards
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster a positive and high-performing team culture
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls for food and labor
- Create and maintain weekly staff schedules
- Coordinate with front-of-house leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Uphold Schlesinger's standards for quality, consistency, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership and team-development skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Proven experience managing food costs, labor budgets, and inventory
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement
